The performance of MANIC STREET PREACHERS scheduled to peform on 7/19 (Sun.) and 20th (Mon. National Holiday) is cancelled due to a sudden illness of Nicky Wire (bassist). The festival without MANIC STREET PREACHERS will be held accordingly with 9 bands each day. We do not refund tickets for any changes of artist normally, but this time we will accept for those who would request for it. The procedure method is different according to the store purchased, please refer to the following. Also please understand that ticket service charge will not be refunded. For those planning to come to the festival, we deeply apologize for the change and inconvenience.
The Manic Street Preachers would like to sincerely apologise to all their fans they were looking forward to seeing at the Nano Mugen Festival for their non-appearance at the concert. Bassist Nicky Wire is ill with severe bacterial gastroenteritis and doctors have declared him unfit to fly. The band are absolutely devastated as they love coming to Japan and were thoroughly looking forward to this show, but will do everything in their powers to try and return next year.
Guitarist James Dean Bradfield said “We’re absolutely gutted not to be coming, but it was absolutely impossible. At the best of times a Manic Street Preachers show without Nick wouldn’t work but even more so in Japan.”
