HARD-FI is a four-piece, alternative rock band from Staines Middlesex who made a spectacular debut with their album “Stars on CCTV” in 2005. This album, which only cost them £300, produced many hits such as “Cash Machine,” “Hard to Beat,” and “Living for the Weekend” and sold over a million copies, marking number one on the British charts. Their music is a mixture of punk, dub, ska, reggae, and disco and crossed over to establish their own style, “diska.” They are one of the few bands to do a sell-out show for five consecutive nights at London’s Brixton Academy, making them rank with Clash and Bob Dylan. Their second album “Once Upon a Time in the West” also reached number one on the British charts. The third album will be released in the fall of 2009.
