Stereophonics was founded by Kelly Jones and Richard Jones in Wales in 1981. Drummer Javier Weyler joined later to form a trio. Their debut album “Word Gets Around” entered the UK charts at number 6 in ’97 and the albums released from then on, “Performance and Cocktails” (’99), “Just Enough Education to Perform” (’02), “You Gotta Go There To Come Back” (’03), “Language, Sex, Violence, Other?” (’05) all hit number 1 in their first appearance in the charts. With their sharpness and their universal melody they have established an immobile status as the most loved band in the UK.
This will be their second visit to Japan this year after a successful tour in February.
